FUEGORED 2016

The Fuegored2016 international conference brings together experts from different countries to a meeting dedicated to the effects of post-fire management practices on the restoration and conservation of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, directly or indirectly impacted by wildfires.

The main goal of the conference is to provide a forum where scientists and local, regional and national authorities as well as forest and land management associations and companies, and NGOs, exchange their ideas and knowledge as a way to develop new approaches, methods and technologies on post-fire land management to ensure the future sustainability of these ecosystems.

The conference will be held in Aveiro (Portugal) from November 24 to November 26 2016, and is organized by the Environment and Planning Department (DAO) as well as by the Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM) of the University of Aveiro.
